Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ-) ਘਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ) ਸੰਤ-ਜਨ ਭਗਤ-ਜਨ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਂਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੇ = ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਲਈ। ਮੰਦਰੁ = ਘਰ। ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਿਆ = ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਗਾਵਹਿ = ਗਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! (ਜਦੋਂ ਦੇ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਸੇ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ (ਸਭ ਕੁਝ) ਸੋਹਣਾ (ਸੋਹਣੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਰੰਗਣ ਵਾਲਾ) ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਘਰੁ = (ਸਰੀਰ-) ਘਰ। ਬਨਿਆ = ਸੋਹਣਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਬਨੁ = ਬਾਗ਼ (ਸਰੀਰ)। ਤਾਲੁ = (ਹਿਰਦਾ-) ਤਾਲਾਬ। ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਰਸੇ = ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਦੇ ਚਰਨ) ਛੋਹੇ। ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ।
