ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਗਰੁ = ਸਮੁੰਦਰ। ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਵਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ = ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼। ਧਿਆਈਐ = ਸਿਮਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਹਜੇ = ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕ ਕੇ)। ਸਮਾਇ = ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਮਲੀਨ-ਮਨ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਬੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹਉਮੈ ਤੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਰਿ ਜੰਮਹਿ = (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ) ਮਰ ਕੇ (ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ) ਜੰਮਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੋਇ = ਹੋ ਕੇ।

Fareedkot Teekaਏਹੁ ਜੋ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਹੈ, ਸੋ (ਧਾਤੁਰ ਬਾਜੀ) ਨਸ਼੍ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਣੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਬਾਜੀ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਏਹਿ ਕਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਜਾਲ ਕੀ ਬਾਜੀ ਵਤ ਨਾਸੁਵੰਤੁ ਹੈ, ਤਿਸ ਮੇਂ ਜੀਵ (ਪਲਚ) ਲਪਟ ਰਹੇ ਹੈਂ, ਯਾਂ ਤੇ ਨ (ਉਰਵਾਰੁ) ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਨ (ਪਾਰੁ) ਪਰਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਸੁਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ॥੩॥
