Prof. Sahib Singhਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ) ਨਾਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਨਾਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਪਰਾਮਤਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨਮੁਖੁ = ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੰਦਾ। ਵਿਆਪਿਆ = ਫਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਦਾਸੀ = ਉਪਰਾਮਤਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ, (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ (ਘੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ) ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਚੀਨੈ = ਪਛਾਣਦਾ। ਪਤਿ = ਇੱਜ਼ਤ। ਖੋਇ = ਗਵਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਬ ਤੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਮੋਹ ਕੋ ਜਲਾਵੇਂਗਾ, ਤਬ ਘਰ ਮੇਂ ਹੋਤੇ ਹੀ ਉਦਾਸੀਨ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਭਾਵ ਏਹਿ ਕਿ ਆਸਾ ਆਦਿਕੋਂ ਕਾ ਕਾਰਨੁ ਤੇ ਮੋਹੁ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਜਬ ਨਿਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੂਆ, ਤਬ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਆਸਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਭੀ ਸਾਥ ਨਿਬ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਂਗੇ, ਯਾਂ ਤੇ ਸਰਬ ਪਦਾਰਥੋਂ ਸੇ ਉਦਾਸੀਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵਡੇ ਉੱਤਮ ਭਾਗੋਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੂਈ ਹੈ, ਤਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਤਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪੁ ਕੋਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਔਰੁ ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਨੇ ਸੇ (ਸਹਜਿ) ਸੁਭਾਵਕ ਹੀ ਆਨੰਦਵਾਨ ਭਏ ਹੈਂ॥ ਭਾਵ ਏਹਿ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਹਰੀ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਭਈ ਤਬ ਨਿਸਚਿੰਤ ਭਏ ਹੈਂ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ (ਟਿਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਸੁਖ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

Fareedkot Teekaਐਸੇ ਪੁਰਸ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਹਕਰਨ ਮੇਂ (ਮੂਲੇ) ਕਦਾਚਿਤ ਵਾ (ਮੂਲੇ) ਵਿਦ੍ਯਾ ਕੇ ਅਭਾਵ ਹੋਨੇ ਤੇ ਕਿਸੀ ਬਾਸਨਾ ਤਥਾ (ਤਾਮਸੁ) ਤਮੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਕਾ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਾਦਿਕੋਂ ਕੀ (ਲਾਗਿ) ਲੇਸ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਤੀ ਹੈ। ਵਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰ ਸੇ ਆਸਾ ਤਥਾ ਤਾਮਸਾਦਿਕੋਂ ਕੀ ਲੇਸ ਭੀ ਨਿਰਮੂਲ ਭਈ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਏਹ ਕਿ ਕਿੰਚਿਤ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਕ੍ਯੋਂਕਿ ਇਨ ਸਰਬ ਉਪਾਧੀਓਂ ਕਾ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਤੋ ਏਕ ਅਗ੍ਯਾਨੁ ਹੀ ਥਾ, ਸੋ ਜਬ ਨਸ੍ਟ ਭਯਾ ਤਬ ਵਾਸਨਾਦਿ ਕਹਾਂ ਰਹੀ ਕਿੰਤੂ ਨਿਰਮੂਲੁ ਭਈ ਹੈ। ਯਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਿਸ ਨੈ ਦੇਹੋ ਹੰ ਬੁਧੀ ਕੋ ਭੀ ਨਿਬ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਕਰ ਦੀਆ ਹੈ॥
