Prof. Sahib Singhਜੀਵਨ (ਦਾ ਸਮਾ) ਅਸਫਲ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਜ਼ਰਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੈਹੈ = ਜਾਇਗਾ। ਬੀਤ ਜੈਹੈ = ਗੁਜ਼ਰ ਜਾਇਗਾ। ਅਕਾਜੁ = (ਅ-ਕਾਜੁ) ਅਸਫਲ, ਜੀਵਨ-ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ। ਰੇ = ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਝੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਉਹ (ਸਰੀਰ) ਤਾਂ (ਜ਼ਰੂਰ) ਸੁਆਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਜੋ ਦੇਹ = ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਰੀਰ। ਮਾਨਿਓ = ਤੂੰ ਮੰਨੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤਉ = ਤਾਂ। ਹੋਇ ਹੈ = ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ। ਖੇਹਿ = ਮਿੱਟੀ, ਸੁਆਹ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਮੈਂ ਦਾਸੁ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੂੰ: ਤਬ ਜਗਤ ਮੇਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਬਿਰਾਜਣਾ ਕਰੁ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਹੁ॥੨॥੪॥☬ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਜਿਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੇਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂਤ੍ਰੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਵਿਚਰਤੇ ਹੂਏ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਜੀ ਮੇਂ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਤਹਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੰਗਾ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਕਨਾਰੇ ਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪੰਡਤ ਠਾਕਰ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸੇ। ਤਿਨ ਮੇਂ ਏਕ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਨਾਮਾ ਪੰਡਤ ਅਨੇਕ ਦੇਵਤਿਓਂ ਕੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਔ ਠਾਕਰ ਪੂਜਾ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ਕਰੀ ਬੈਠਾ ਥਾ। ਤਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਚਰਨ ਧੋਏ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਮੇਂ ਜੈਸੇ ਥੇ ਤੈਸੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਇਸਥਿਤ ਹੂਏ। ਤਬ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਪੰਡਤ ਨੇ ਕੋਪ ਕਰ ਕਹਾ: ਤੁਮ ਨੇ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਭ੍ਰਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਈ ਹੈ। ਤਬ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਆ: ਇਸ ਪਖੰਡ ਕੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਸੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਕਲਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਐਸੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਤੇ ਹੀ ਤਿਸ ਪੰਡਤ ਕਾ ਚਿਤ ਨਰਮ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਸਰਨ ਪੜਾ ਔ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰੀ: ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਅਬ ਮੁਝ ਕੋ ਅਪਨਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ ਕਰੀਏ, ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਕਲਿਆਨ ਹੋਵੇ। ਏਤੇ ਮੇਂ ਔਰ ਪੰਡਤ ਸਭ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਆਨ ਹੂਏ। ਤਿਸ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਪੰਡਤ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਥਾਇ ਔ ਸਰਬ ਕੋ ਸੁਨਾਵਤੇ ਹੂਏ ਚਾਰ ਸਲੋਕੋਂ ਕਰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ (ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ) ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਹੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਸੁਚੱਜਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਉ! ॥੨॥੪॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਖਾਨਿ = ਬਖਾਨੈ, ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਹਿ = ਵਿਚ। ਬਿਰਾਜੁ = ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ, ਚੰਗਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥੪॥
