Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਨੰਗਾ ਭੁਖਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਨਫਰੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਕਹਾਂ ਸੇ ਖਾਵੇ; ਯੇਹਿ ਕਿ ਜਬ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਰਵਾਹੇ ਕੋ ਨ ਹੂਆ, ਤਬ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਨਫਰ ਕੋ ਕਹਾ ਸੇ ਹੋਵੇ। ਵਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਤਪਾ ਅਰੁ ਮਰਵਾਹਾ ਨਫਰੁ ਸਮਝਨਾ, ਭਾਵ ਤਪੇ ਕੋ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੇਂ ਸ੍ਰਧਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਥੀ ਤਬ ਮਰਵਾਹੇ ਮੇਂ ਕਹਾਂ ਸੇ ਹੋਵੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਨੌਕਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਰੱਜ ਕੇ ਖਾਣਾ ਹੋਇਆ?
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨੰਗਾ ਭੁਖਾ = ਕੰਗਾਲ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜੇਕਰ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨੌਕਰ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜੇ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਕਿਥੋ ਲੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਵਸਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਸੋਈ ਨਫਰ ਕੇ ਹਾਥ ਆਵੇ, ਅਨਹੋਂਦੀ ਕਹਾਂ ਸੇ ਮਿਲੇ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਨੌਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਹੋ ਵਸਤ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਮਿਲੇ?
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਥੁ = ਚੀਜ਼। ਹਥਿ ਆਵੈ = ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ. ਫਿਰਿ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੰਗੀਐ; ਸਾ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਉਖੀ ਹੋਈ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਫਿਰ ਭੀ ਲੇਖਾ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਹ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹਦੇ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੀਹ ਲਾਹ ਹੈ?)

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਕੀ ਪੁਨਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਜੋਗ੍ਯ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਫੇਰ ਕੋਈ ਲੇਖਾ ਨ ਮੰਗੇਗਾ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਹਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਨੂੰ) ਸਫਲਾ (ਕਰਦਾ) ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਹੁ (ਤਾਕਿ) ਫਿਰ ਕੋਈ ਲੇਖਾ ਨਾ ਮੰਗੇ ॥੨॥
