Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਝੀਲ (ਸਤਿਸੰਗ) ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਹੰਸ (ਗੁਰਮੁਖ) ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਐਨ ਆਰੰਭ ਤੋਂ ਨੀਅਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸਰਵਰ ਰੂਪ ਜੋ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਹੈ ਜਗ੍ਯਾਸੂ ਰੂਪ ਹੰਸ ਕਾ ਆਦ ਸੇ ਹੀ ਮੇਲਾ ਹੈ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੋ (ਏਵੈ) ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਭਾਯਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਗੁਰੂ-) ਸਰੋਵਰ ਅਤੇ (ਗੁਰਮੁਖ-) ਹੰਸ ਦਾ ਜੋੜ ਮੁੱਢੋਂ ਹੀ ਚਲਿਆ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧੁਰੇ ਹੀ = ਧੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ, ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ। ਮੇਲਾ = ਜੋੜ। ਖਸਮੈ = ਖਸਮ ਨੂੰ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹਨਾਂ (ਕਾਂ ਬਗੁਲੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਾਂ) ਦੀ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਓਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਓਨਾ = ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਗਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ-ਰੂਪ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਪਰ) ਕੂੜ ਦੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਕੂੜਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਚਿ ਕਮਾਣੈ = ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ-ਰੂਪ ਕਮਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਏ। ਕੂੜੈ = ਕੂੜ ਦੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਦਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਨਮੁਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੀਹ ਵੱਸ?) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੁਰੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ (-ਸਰੋਵਰ) ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
