Fareedkot Teeka(ਆਇ) ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਗ੍ਯਾ ਜੈਸੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਘਰ ਕਾ ਕਾਂ ਬਿਅਰਥ ਕੁਰਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਯਹਿ ਕਿ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੋ ਭਯਾ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਕੁਛੁ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਾ ਲਾਭ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੂਆ, ਯਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਸਚਾਤਾਪ ਹੀ ਰਹਾ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਪੈ = ਰੰਗਿਆ ਜਾਏ। ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ ਪਦੁ = ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਦਰਜਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀ। ਨਿਰਬਾਣੀ = ਵਾਸਨਾ ਰਹਿਤ ॥੪॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਬਦਿ = ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ (ਜੁੜ ਕੇ)। ਮਰੈ = (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ) ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ, ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਿਰੀਆਂ ਕਹਿਣ ਸੁਣਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦਾ।
