Sant Singh KhalsaThe Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the only permanent wealth; all other wealth comes and goes.

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਹੀ ਅਹਿੱਲ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਧਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰ ਧਨ ਕਦੇ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ;

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਇਸ ਦੌਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੋਰ ਤਾੜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੁੱਚਾਲੰਡਾ ਲੈ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਇਸ ਹਰਿ ਧਨ ਕੋ (ਤਸਕਰੁ) ਚੋਰ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਤਾ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਨ (ਓਚਕਾ) ਠਗ ਹੀ ਠਗੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਲੇ ਜਾਇ ਸਕਤਾ ਹੈ। ਚੋਰ ਜੋ ਰਾਤ ਕੋ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰੈ, ਠਗ ਜੋ ਦਿਨ ਕੋ ਧੋਖਾ ਦੇ ਕਰ ਠਗ ਲੇ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਇਸ ਧਨ ਵਲ ਕੋਈ ਚੋਰ ਅੱਖ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖ ਸਕਦਾ, ਕੋਈ ਗੰਢ-ਕੱਪ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਸਕਰੁ = ਚੋਰ। ਜੋਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਈ = ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਓਚਕਾ = ਗੰਢ-ਕੱਪ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਇਹ ਧਨ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਲੇ ਨ ਪਾਇ = ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧਨੁ = ਮੁਬਾਰਕ, ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ। ਆਇ = ਏਥੇ ਆ ਕੇ, ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ॥੨॥
