ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੋਗ = ਗ਼ਮ। ਅਘ = ਪਾਪ। ਨਿਮਖ = ਅੱਖ ਝਮਕਣ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਸਮਾ। ਹੀਐ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਦੀਨੋਂ ਕਾ ਦ੍ਯਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੌ ਜਮ ਗਣੋਂ ਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਰੂਪੁ ਰਾਜਾ ਪ੍ਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਰਾਮ ਗਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਭਾਵ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮ ਜੋ ਨਰਕ ਕਾ ਅਧਕਾਰੀ ਥਾ ਹਰੀ ਕੀ ਦ੍ਯਾਲਤਾ ਹੋਣੇ ਤੇ ਸੋ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਕਾ ਅਧਕਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਦੋਂ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਕਿਸੇ ਉਤੇ) ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਜਮਰਾਜ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ) ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਉ = ਜਦੋਂ। ਦੀਨ = ਗਰੀਬ। ਭੰਜਨ = ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਤੇ = ਤੋਂ। ਧਰਮਰਾਇ = ਧਰਮਰਾਜ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਖਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਏਕਸ ਬਿਨੁ = ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ। ਆਨ = {अन्य} ਹੋਰ। ਬੀਓ = ਦੂਜਾ। ਲਵੈ ਲਾਇ = ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
