ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਬੁ = ਚਸਕਾ। ਪਰਜਾਲੀਐ = ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੜ ਜਾਏ। ਆਧਾਰੁ = ਸਹਾਰਾ, ਆਸਰਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਨਵੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਵਾਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜਿਉਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਜਪੀਏ, ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਧਦਾ ਹੈ) 'ਨਾਮ' ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਕਦੇ ਮੈਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ = ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ। ਨਵਤਨ = ਨਵਾਂ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਛੂਟੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੁਖ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਤਾਹੀਏਂ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! 'ਨਾਮ' ਜਪਿਆਂ (ਹਉਮੈ ਦੇ) ਗੇੜ ਤੋਂ ਬਚੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਇਹ ਸੁਖ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
