Fareedkot Teekaਸੋਈ ਧਰਤੀ ਹੈ ਪੁਨਃ ਪੌਨ ਭੀ ਵਹੀ ਝੁਲਾਰੇ ਦੇਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਜੀਵ ਹੈਂ ਤਿਨੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਖੇਲਤਾ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਥਾਉਂ ਕਲਯੁਗਿ ਕਾ ਕੈਸੇ ਕਹੀਏ, ਭਾਵ ਜੀਵੋਂ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਨਿਵਾਸ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਹੈ; ਵਾ ਕਲਜੁਗ ਕੇ ਜੀਵ ਇਸ ਕੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਖੇਲਤੇ, ਭਾਵ ਚੇਸਟਾ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਕੈਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਥਾਉਂ ਕਹੀਏ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਚਰਨ ਉੱਚਾ ਬਣਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ (ਸਗੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਡਿੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਤਪੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਦਾਹਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੁੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਤੁ = ਉੱਚਾ ਆਚਰਨ। ਛੀਜੈ = ਛਿੱਜਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਡਿੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤਪ ਘਰਿ = ਤਪ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਤਪ ਹੈ, ਤਪਸ੍ਵੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਜੋਈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ (ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਬਦਨਾਮੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। (ਹੇ ਪੰਡਿਤ! ਭੈੜਾ ਆਚਰਨ, ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਹੋਣੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਨਾਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ-) ਇਹ ਹਨ ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਦੇ ਲੱਛਣ ॥੩॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ) ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ (ਪੰਡਿਤ ਤੀਰਥ ਵਰਤ ਆਦਿਕ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਲਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ)।

Fareedkot Teekaਜੇ ਘਰ ਮੇਂ ਪਦਾਰਥੋਂ ਕੇ ਹੋਤੇ ਔਰ ਸੇ ਮੰਗਣੇ ਕੋ ਜਾਈਐ ਤੌ (ਤਹੀ) ਤਿਸੁ ਮੰਗਣੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੋ ਉਲਾਂਭਾ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਤਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਤੂੰ ਬਡਾ ਬੇਸ਼ਰਮ ਹੈਂ। ਭਾਵ ਕਲਿਯੁਗ ਮੇਂ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਮੁਖਤਾ ਹੈਂ। ਇਸ ਕੋ ਛੋਡਕੈ ਜੋ ਯਗ੍ਯਾਦਿਕ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਧਰਮਰਾਇ ਤਾੜ ਕੇ ਕਹੇਗਾ: ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਛੋਡਕਰ ਔਰ ਕਰਮੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਲਾਗ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੇ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਕਿਉਂ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ॥੮॥੧॥☬ਕਿਸੀ ਜੋਗੀ ਕੋ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੂਏ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਅਸਟਪਦੀ ਉਚਾਰੀ ਹੈ:
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁਲਾਇਆਂ ਇਹ ਸੂਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਰ ਆਸਰੇ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇ ਭੁੱਲੜ ਜੀਵ ਬਾਹਰ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਆਦਿਕ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਗਦਾ ਫਿਰੇ, ਇਹ ਦੋਸ਼ ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੮॥੧॥
