ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਾਵਹੁ = ਜੋੜੋ। ਹਉ = ਮੈਂ। ਅਨਦਿਨੁ = ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼, ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ। ਧਿਆਈ = ਮੈਂ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।

Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ ਹਰਿ! ਆਪ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਭ ਸੁਖ ਔ ਸਭੀ ਗੁਣ ਅਰੁ ਸਭੀ ਖਜਾਨੇ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਜਪਨੇ ਸੇ ਦੁਖ ਔਰ ਭੁਖ ਸਭ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਪਾਸ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ (ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ), (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਸਾਰੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ। ਨਿਧਾਨ = ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ। ਜਿਤੁ ਜਪੀਐ = ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆਂ। ਲਹਿ ਜਾਈ = ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

Fareedkot Teekaਯਹ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਜਨਮ ਬਡੇ ਪੁੰਨੋਂ ਕਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਸੇ ਵ੍ਯਰਥ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਐਸੇ ਜਨਮ ਕੋ ਧਿਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਧਿਕਾਰ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਬੜੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪੁੰਨਿ = {पुन्य} ਭਲੇ ਕਰਮ, ਚੰਗੀ ਕਿਸਮਤਿ। ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ = ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਯੋਗ। ਬਿਰਥਾ = ਵਿਅਰਥ।

Sant Singh KhalsaWithout the Naam, the Name of the Lord, one obtains only suffering for his delicacies to eat. His mouth is insipid, and his face is spat upon, again and again. ||3||
Manmohan SinghWithout the Name one obtains pain as his sweet and saltish dish, insipid remains his mouth and his face is spit, spit upon.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਤੇ ਸਲੂਣੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਕਲਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਤੇ ਰਾਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਥੁੱਕਾਂ ਪੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Fareedkot Teekaਬਿਨਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਸੇ ਜੋ ਰਸ ਕਸ ਖਾਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਸੋ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਉਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਉਨ ਬਿਸਈ ਲੋਗੋਂ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਸੇ ਫੀਕਾ ਬਚਨੁ ਨਿਕਸਤਾ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਉਨ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਮੇਂ ਥੁਕ ਹੀ ਥੁਕ ਪੜਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਭ ਧਿਕਾਰ ਦੇਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥੩॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਸਹੇੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਫਿੱਕੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਲੁਕਾਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਟਕਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਸ ਕਸ = ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ। ਮੁਖਿ = ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ। ਥੁਕ ਪਾਈ = ਥੁਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਫਿਟਕਾਰ ਪਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਿਨ = ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ। ਦੇ = ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ 'ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ' ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, 'ਸਾਬਾਸ਼' ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੪॥
