Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਉੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਬਚਨ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ = ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ। ਮੁਖਿ = ਮੂੰਹੋਂ। ਬੋਲਹਿ = ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਪਕਾਰੇ = ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਨਫਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ, ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਮੈਂ ਦਾਸ ਨੇ ਮਨ ਤਨ ਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋ ਭਾਵਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਤਾਰ ਲੇਤਾ ਹੈਂ॥੪॥੩॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੩॥
