Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ) ਪਰਖ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲੇਖਾ = ਹਿਸਾਬ, ਅਸਾਡੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ। ਲੇਖਾ ਲਿਖੀਐ = ਲੇਖਾ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਪਰਖ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਮਨ ਕੈ ਭਾਇ = ਮਨ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਮਨ ਦੀ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ (ਜੁੜੀਏ) ॥੨॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਚੈ ਨਾਇ = ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ॥੨॥
