ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ = ਥਾਨ ਥਾਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ, ਹਰੇਕ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ। ਜਲਿ = ਜਲ ਵਿਚ। ਥਲਿ = ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ। ਪੂਰ = ਵਿਆਪਕ। ਸੋਇ = ਉਹ ਹੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ = ਮਹੀ ਤਲਿ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਤਲ ਉਤੇ, ਪੁਲਾੜ ਵਿਚ, ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿਚ। ਧਨੀ = ਮਾਲਕ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆ ਰਹੁ, ਉਹ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਅਪੜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਅਸਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ (ਸਹਾਰਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਜੁ = ਪਉ, ਜਾਹ। ਸੁਖਹਗਾਮੀ = ਸੁਖ ਅਪੜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਅਨ = {अन्य} ਹੋਰ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥
