Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ) ਤਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਸੇਵਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾ ਸਕਦਾ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੋ = ਕੋਈ (ਮਨੁੱਖ)। ਪੁਕਾਰੈ = ਦੁਸ਼ਣ ਲਾਂਦਾ, ਉਂਗਲ ਕਰਦਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਥੱਪਣ ਦਾ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪੂਕਾਰਨ ਕਉ = ਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਲਾਣ ਲਈ। ਤਾ ਕਉ = ਉਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਨੂੰ। ਮਾਰੈ = (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ) ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੈਰ ਕਮਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਤੋਲ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਤਰਦਾ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੰਗਿ = ਨਾਲ। ਰਚਾਵੈ = ਸਹੇੜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਰੈ = ਹਾਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੀਵਨ-ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਹਾਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਤੋਲ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਤਰਦਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਗੁਣ ਚਲਿਆ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ = ਜੁਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ। ਵਡਿਆਈ = ਬਿਰਦ। ਪੈਜ = ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ॥੧॥
