Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਸੁਰਗ ਵਰਗੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਣ, ਜੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲੈਣ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਸੰਤਿ = ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਣ। ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਲੋਕਹ = ਸੁਰਗ ਵਰਗੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ। ਜਿਤਤੇ = ਜਿੱਤ ਲੈਣ। ਨਵ ਖੰਡਣਹ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ = ਨੌ ਖੰਡਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ।

ਬਿਸਰੰਤ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਪਾਲਹ; ਨਾਨਕ. ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਉਦਿਆਨ ਭਰਮਣਹ ॥੧॥

Sant Singh Khalsabut if they forget the Lord of the world, O Nanak, they are just wanderers in the wilderness. ||1||

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਕਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਭੁਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਬ ਤੇ ਵਹੁ ਪੁਰਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ (ਉਦਿਆਨ) ਉਜਾੜ ਮੇਂ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਜਨਮੋਂ ਕੋ ਪਾਵਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦੇਣ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੋਪਾਲ = {ਗੋ-ਪਾਲ} ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਰੱਖਕ। ਉਦਿਆਨ = ਜੰਗਲ ॥੧॥

Fareedkot Teekaਇਹ ਜੀਵ (ਕਉਤਕ) ਅਸਚਰਜ ਰੂਪ ਤਮਾਸੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜੋਂ ਹੀ ਦੇਖਤਾ ਰਹੇ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਈਸ਼ਵਰਜ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਔਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ ਚਿਤ ਮੇਂ ਨਾ ਆਵੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ ਚੋਜ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ (ਯਾਦ) ਨਾਹ ਰਹੇ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਉਤਕ = ਖੇਲ, ਚੋਜ। ਕੋਡ = ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ। ਚਿਤਿ = ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ। ਨ ਆਵਸੁ = ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਹ ਆਵੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਤਾਂ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਸਮਝੋ, ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਨਰਕ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
