ਮਨਿ ਵਸੰਦੜੋ ਸਚੁ ਸਹੁ; ਨਾਨਕ. ਹਭੇ ਡੁਖੜੇ ਉਲਾਹਿ ॥੨॥

man vasandarro sach sahu; naanak. habhe ddukharre ulaeh |2|

Sant Singh KhalsaWhen the True Lord and Master abides in one's mind, O Nanak, all sins are dispelled. ||2||
Manmohan SinghSimilarly, it the True Spouse abides in the mind, all the sins are washed off, O Nanak.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਏਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਕੰਤ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਧੋਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ!
Fareedkot Teekaਤੈਸੇ ਹੀ ਜਬ ਮਨ ਮੇਂ ਸਚਾ ਸਹੁ ਪਤੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਆਇ ਵਸੈ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ! ਤਬ ਇਸ ਜੀਵ ਕੇ ਵਹੁ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਪ ਲਾਹਿ ਦੇਤਾ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਤਾ ਹੈ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਾਂਈ ਵੱਸ ਪਏ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੋਝੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਹਭੇ = ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ। ਡੁਖੜੇ = ਕੋਝੇ ਦੁੱਖ। ਉਲਾਹਿ = ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੰਮਣ ਤੋਂ ਮਰਣ ਤਕ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਹਿਮ ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਅਟੱਲ ਸੱਚੀ ਪਦਵੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਟੀਅਹਿ = ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਿਹਚਲ = ਅਟੱਲ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਮਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਧੁਰੋਂ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਰਚਨਾ ਅਪਾਰੰ = ਘਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸਜਾਵਟਾਂ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਬਿਲਾਸ = ਚਾਉ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ। ਰਸਹ ਸੁਆਦੰ = ਸੁਆਦਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਸਕੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਦੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਉਹ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਵਿਸ਼ਟੇ ਦੇ ਕੀੜੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥

Fareedkot Teekaਇਹੁ ਜੀਵ ਜਿਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਦਾਰਥੋਂ ਕੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ (ਅਡੰਬਰੁ) ਅਰੰਭ ਕੀ (ਮੁਚੁ) ਵੱਡੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪੁਨਾ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਪਾਸ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਦੀਆ ਹੂਆ ਔਰ ਭੀ ਸਭ ਕਿਛ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਭ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਹੈਂ ਅਰ ਰਿਦੇ ਕੇ ਬੀਚ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਦੀ (ਮੁਹਬਤਿ) ਪ੍ਰੀਤੀ (ਨੇਹ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਬੜੀ ਸਜ-ਧਜ ਹੋਵੇ, ਹਰੇਕ ਸ਼ੈ (ਮਿਲੀ) ਹੋਵੇ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਵੀ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ) ਮੁਹੱਬਤਿ ਤੇ ਖਿੱਚ ਹੋਵੇ-ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਚੁ = ਵੱਡਾ, ਬੜਾ। ਅਡੰਬਰੁ = ਖਿਲਾਰਾ, ਸਜ-ਧਜ। ਹਭੁ ਕਿਹੁ = ਹਰੇਕ ਸ਼ੈ। ਮੰਝਿ = (ਹਿਰਦੇ) ਵਿਚ। ਨੇਹ = ਪਿਆਰ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲੀਲਾ = ਚੋਜ ਤਮਾਸ਼ੇ। ਰਾਜ ਰਸ = ਰਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੌਜਾਂ। ਰੂਪ = ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ। ਛਤ੍ਰ = (ਸਿਰ ਤੇ) ਛਤਰ। ਚਮਰ = ਚਉਰ। ਤਖਤ ਆਸਨੰ = ਬੈਠਣ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਤਖ਼ਤ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਇਹਨਾਂ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਬੰਦੇ ਹੀ ਮਸਤ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਕੌਤਕ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ (ਸਮਾਨ) ਹਨ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੂੜ = ਮੂਰਖ। ਅੰਧਹ = ਅੰਨੇ। ਮਨੋਰਥ = {ਮਨੋ-ਰਥ} ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੌੜਾਂ, ਮਨ-ਬਾਂਛਤ ਪਦਾਰਥ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਸੰਤਿ = ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਣ। ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਲੋਕਹ = ਸੁਰਗ ਵਰਗੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ। ਜਿਤਤੇ = ਜਿੱਤ ਲੈਣ। ਨਵ ਖੰਡਣਹ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੀ = ਨੌ ਖੰਡਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦੇਣ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਭਟਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੋਪਾਲ = {ਗੋ-ਪਾਲ} ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਰੱਖਕ। ਉਦਿਆਨ = ਜੰਗਲ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਉਤਕ = ਖੇਲ, ਚੋਜ। ਕੋਡ = ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ। ਚਿਤਿ = ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ। ਨ ਆਵਸੁ = ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਹ ਆਵੇ।
