ਕੁਬੁਧਿ ਡੂਮਣੀ. ਕੁਦਇਆ ਕਸਾਇਣਿ; ਪਰ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਘਟ ਚੂਹੜੀ. ਮੁਠੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿ ਚੰਡਾਲਿ ॥

Sant Singh KhalsaFalse-mindedness is the drummer-woman; cruelty is the butcheress; slander of others in one's heart is the cleaning-woman, and deceitful anger is the outcast-woman.
Manmohan SinghEvil-intellect is the she-drummer, heartlessness is the butcheress, other's slander in the heart is a sweepress and deceitful wrath is a pariah-women.

Fareedkot Teekaਖੋਟੀ ਜੋ ਬੁਧੀ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਮੀਰਾਸਣ ਹੈ, ਔਰ ਜੋ ਆਦਯਾ ਭਾਵ ਕਰੂਰਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਕਸਾਇਣ ਹੈ। (ਪਰ) ਵਸੇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਰ ਪੁਰਸੋਂ ਕੀ ਜੋ ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਚੂਹੜੀ, ਔਰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਰੂਪੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਚੰਡਾਲੀ ਹੈ, ਵਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਸਬੰਧ ਸੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਚੰਡਾਲੀ ਹੈ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ 'ਸੱਚ' ਨੂੰ (ਚੌਂਕਾ ਸੁੱਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ) ਜੁਗਤਿ ਬਣਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉੱਚੇ ਆਚਰਨ ਨੂੰ (ਚੌਂਕੇ ਦੀਆਂ) ਲਕੀਰਾਂ ਬਣਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ (ਤੀਰਥ) ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ,

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: (ਅਗੈ) ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਉਤਮ ਸੋਈ ਹੈਂ, ਜੋ ਪੁਰਸ ਪਾਪੋਂ ਕੀ (ਪੰਦਿ) ਸਿਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਪੰਦ ਫਾਰਸੀ ਪਦ ਹੈ, ਵਾ ਪਾਪੋਂ ਕੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਮੇਂ ਪੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥੧॥☬ਜਬ ਐਸੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਵਾਕ ਸੁਣੇ ਵਹੁ ਪੰਡਤ ਸਿਖ ਹੂਆ, ਤਬ ਮਰਦਾਨੇ ਕਹਾ: ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ! ਏਹ ਤੋ ਬਗਲਾ ਥਾ, ਆਪ ਕੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਸੇ ਹੰਸ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ। ਤਿਸ ਪਰ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦੇ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਚੰਗੇ ਗਿਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
