Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜੀਹਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਰਿਦੇ ਮੇਂ ਸਚਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਖ ਸੇ ਨਿਹਚੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਅਲਾਏ) ਉਚਾਰਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੂੰਹੋਂ (ਭੀ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਖਿ = ਮੂੰਹੋਂ। ਅਲਾਏ = ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਓਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਆਪਿ ਚਲਦਾ; ਹੋਰਨਾ ਨੋ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਏ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਆਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਤੇ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੋਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਾਰਗਿ = ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ।

ਜੇ ਅਗੈ ਤੀਰਥੁ ਹੋਇ. ਤਾ ਮਲੁ ਲਹੈ; ਛਪੜਿ ਨਾਤੈ. ਸਗਵੀ ਮਲੁ ਲਾਏ ॥
je agai teerath hoe. taa mal lahai; chhaparr naatai. sagavee mal laae |
Sant Singh KhalsaBathing in a pool of holy water, they are washed clean of filth. But, by bathing in a stagnant pond, they are contaminated with even more filth.
Manmohan SinghIf there be a pure water tank in front then the filth is washed off. By bathing in a pond, still more filth attaches to the man.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜੇਕਰ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਦ ਮੈਲ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਟੋਭੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਗੋ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਮੈਲ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜੇਕਰ ਅਗੈ ਤੀਰਥੁ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਸਤਸੰਗ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੌ ਪਾਪ ਮੈਲ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਛਪੜ ਨਾਉਣੇ ਸੇ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਖੋਟਿਓਂ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਨੇ ਸੇ (ਸਗਵੀ) ਉਲਟੀ ਮੈਲ ਲਗ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿੱਥੇ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਜਾਈਏ) ਜੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ (ਨ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੀ) ਮੈਲ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਛੱਪੜ ਵਿਚ ਨ੍ਹਾਤਿਆਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਮੈਲ ਵਧਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੀਰਥੁ = ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ, ਦਰਿਆ ਦਾ ਸਾਫ਼ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਾਣੀ। ਛਪੜਿ = ਛੱਪੜ ਵਿਚ। ਸਗਵੀ = ਸਗੋਂ ਹੋਰ।

ਤੀਰਥੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ; ਜੋ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਇਹੀ ਨੇਮ ਸਮਝੋ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਧੋਣ ਲਈ), ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ = ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼, ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਆਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਸਮੇਤ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਮੈਂ) ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਆਪ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥
