Sant Singh KhalsaAnd yet, they go out to teach others.

Fareedkot Teekaਪੁਨਾ ਔਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਸਮਝਾਵਨੇ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਝੂਠ ਨ ਬੋਲੋ॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਹ) ਆਪ ਤਾਂ ਠੱਗਿਆ ਜਾ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਥ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਲੁਟਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਠਾ = ਠੱਗਿਆ। ਮੁਹਾਏ = ਲੁਟਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਠਗਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਥੈ = ਸਾਥ ਨੂੰ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੂੰਹੋਂ (ਭੀ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਖਿ = ਮੂੰਹੋਂ। ਅਲਾਏ = ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਾਰਗਿ = ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ।

ਜੇ ਅਗੈ ਤੀਰਥੁ ਹੋਇ. ਤਾ ਮਲੁ ਲਹੈ; ਛਪੜਿ ਨਾਤੈ. ਸਗਵੀ ਮਲੁ ਲਾਏ ॥

je agai teerath hoe. taa mal lahai; chhaparr naatai. sagavee mal laae |

Sant Singh KhalsaBathing in a pool of holy water, they are washed clean of filth. But, by bathing in a stagnant pond, they are contaminated with even more filth.
Manmohan SinghIf there be a pure water tank in front then the filth is washed off. By bathing in a pond, still more filth attaches to the man.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜੇਕਰ ਮੂਹਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਦ ਮੈਲ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਟੋਭੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਗੋ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਮੈਲ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿੱਥੇ ਨ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਜਾਈਏ) ਜੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ (ਨ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੀ) ਮੈਲ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਛੱਪੜ ਵਿਚ ਨ੍ਹਾਤਿਆਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਮੈਲ ਵਧਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੀਰਥੁ = ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਸੋਮਾ, ਦਰਿਆ ਦਾ ਸਾਫ਼ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਾ ਪਾਣੀ। ਛਪੜਿ = ਛੱਪੜ ਵਿਚ। ਸਗਵੀ = ਸਗੋਂ ਹੋਰ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਕਈ ਬੰਦੇ ਮੂਲੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਪੁਟ ਕੇ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ (ਮੂਲੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ) ਤੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਦੇ ਗੋਸ਼ੇ ਵਿਚ ਜਾ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੰਦ = ਗਾਜਰ ਮੂਲੀ ਗੋਂਗਲੂ ਆਦਿਕ ਸਬਜ਼ੀ ਜੋ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕੰਦ ਮੂਲੁ = ਮੂਲੀ। ਵਣ = ਜੰਗਲ। ਵਣਖੰਡਿ = ਜੰਗਲ ਦੇ ਗੋਸ਼ੇ ਵਿਚ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਲਾਲਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੱਪੜੇ ਤੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਟਿਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਰਣਾ = (ਮੇਰਾ) ਕੰਮ-ਕਾਰ। ਕਹਿਆ ਕਥਨਾ = (ਮੇਰਾ) ਬੋਲ-ਚਾਲ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਹੇ ਮੁਹਿ = ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ, ਮੂੰਹ ਉਤੇ। ਪਾਹਿ = ਪੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਕਿਹੁ = ਕੁਝ, ਕੋਈ ਆਤਮਕ ਗੁਣ। ਭਰਿ ਭਰਿ = ਭਰੀਜ ਕੇ, ਗੰਦਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ। ਐਸਾ = (ਭਾਵ) ਹਾਸੋ-ਹੀਣਾ ॥੨॥

Fareedkot Teekaਸੋ ਸਚਾ ਸ਼ਾਹੁ ਤੂੰ ਏਕ ਹੈਂ ਔਰ ਸਭ ਜਗਤ ਤੇਰਾ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਸਭ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੀਏ ਹੂਏ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਵਰਤਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥੬॥☬ਏਹ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਮੱਕੇ ਮੇਂ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਮੱਕੇ ਦਾ ਕਾਜੀ ਕਹੇ ਕਿ ਹਮ ਮਸੀਤ ਮੇਂ ਜਾ ਕਰ ਮੁਸੱਲਾ ਵਿਛਾ ਕਰ ਨਿਵਾਜ਼ ਕਲਮਾ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਪੜਤੇ ਹਾਂ, ਹਲਾਲ ਖਾਤੇ ਹਾਂ, ਸੁਨਤ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਕਾਬੇ ਕੀ ਜਿਆਰਤ ਕਰਤੇ ਹਾਂ, ਪਯੰਬਰ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇਗਾ ਹਮ ਛੂਟ ਜਾਵੇਂਗੇ। ਆਪ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਨਿਖੇਧੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੋ? ਤਿਸ ਪਰ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈਂ, ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ ਇਥੇ, ਮਾਨੋ, ਫੇਰੀ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਸਉਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਆਏ ਹਨ) ॥੬॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਚਾ = ਸਦਾ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਵਣਜਾਰਾ = ਫੇਰੀ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਸਉਦਾ ਵੇਚਣ ਵਾਲਾ ॥੬॥

Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਜੀਵੋਂ ਪਰ (ਮਿਹਰ) ਦਯਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਇਹੁ ਮਸੀਤ ਕਰ, ਕਿਸੀ ਜੀਵ ਕਾ ਗਲਾ ਨ ਕਾਟ ਔਰ ਜੋ ਖੁਦਾ ਪਰ (ਸਿਦਕ) ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਏਹ ਮੁਸੱਲਾ ਕਰ (ਨਿਮਾਜ਼ ਕੇ ਵਕਤ ਹੇਠ ਵਿਛਾਉਣੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਫ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੁਸੱਲਾ ਹੈ), ਅਪਨੇ ਹਕੁ ਕਾ ਜੋ ਖਾਣਾ ਏਹੀ ਹਲਾਲ ਹੈ, ਅਰੁ (ਹਕੁ) ਸਚ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਹੀ ਕੁਰਾਣ ਕਾ ਪੜਨਾ ਹੈ, ਹਕੁ ਪਦ ਹਲਾਲ ਔਰ ਕੁਰਾਨ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਲੈਣਾ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ) ਤਰਸ ਦੀ ਮਸੀਤ (ਬਣਾਓ), ਸਰਧਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਸੱਲਾ ਤੇ ਹੱਕ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਰਾਨ (ਬਣਾਓ)।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਿਦਕੁ = ਨਿਸ਼ਚਾ; ਸਰਧਾ। ਮੁਸਲਾ = ਮੁਸੱਲਾ, ਉਹ ਸਫ਼ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਨਿਮਾਜ਼ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹਕੁ ਹਲਾਲੁ = ਜਾਇਜ਼ ਹੱਕ, ਹੱਕ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਵਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਝੱਕਣਾ-ਇਹ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਚੰਗਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਬਣੇ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਬਣ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਰਮ = ਸ਼ਰਮ, ਹਯਾ, ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਸੰਗਣਾ। ਸੀਲੁ = ਚੰਗਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉੱਚਾ ਆਚਰਣ ਕਾਬਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਇਕੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਰਹਿਣਾ-ਪੀਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਨੇਕ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਮਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਕਲਮਾ ਬਣੇ।
