ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ = ਭੈੜੀ ਮੱਤ। ਪਰਗਟੀ ਆਇਆ = ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਾਇ ਮੰਨਿਐ, ਨਾਉ ਉਪਜੈ = (ਵੇਖੋ ਪਉੜੀ ਨੰ: ੬ ਤੀਜੀ ਤੁਕ) ਜੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਮਨ ਗਿੱਝ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਨਾਮ (ਜਪਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ) ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੰਨਿ = ਮਨਿ, ਮਨ ਵਿਚ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਇਕ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਮੋਤੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੧॥
