Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਨਾਨਕ, ਸੰਸਾਰ ਰੂਪੀ ਰੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਫੱਲ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਦੋ ਪੰਛੀ-ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਦੇਹ ਰੂਪੀ ਇਕ ਬ੍ਰਿਖ੍ਯ ਹੈ ਦੁਖ ਸੁਖ ਦੋ ਫਲ ਹੈਂ। ਕਰਮ ਫੂਲ ਹੈਂ ਔਰ ਜਿਸ ਮੇਂ ਕੂਟ ਸਥ ਔਰ ਚਿਦਾਭਾਸ ਦੋ ਪੰਖੀ (ਆਹਿ) ਹੈਂ। ਇਹਾਂ ਦੇਹਰੀ ਦੀਪਕ ਨ੍ਯਾਇ ਸੇ ਦੋ ਕੋ ਦੋ ਬਾਰ ਬਰਤ ਲੇਨਾ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਰੂਪ) ਰੁੱਖ (ਹੈ, ਇਸ) ਨੂੰ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਰੂਪ) ਇਕ ਫਲ (ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ), (ਉਸ ਰੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ) ਦੋ (ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ, ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ) ਪੰਛੀ ਹਨ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਰਵਰੁ = ਰੁੱਖ। ਪੰਖੇਰੂ = ਪੰਖੀ।

Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਸ ਪੰਖੀ ਕੇ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਰੂਪ ਪਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈਂ (ਤਾਹਿ) ਤਿਸ ਮੇਂ (ਆਵਤ ਜਾਤ) ਆਉਣਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਅਜਨਮਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੰਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਦਿੱਸਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, (ਭਾਵ, ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਜੀਵ-ਪੰਛੀ ਕਿਧਰੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਕਿਧਰ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ)
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਰ = ਖੰਭ।

Fareedkot Teekaਚਿਦਾਭਾਸ ਜੋ ਪੰਖੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬੁਹਤ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਸਬਦਾਦਿ ਬਿਖ੍ਯੋਂ ਕੇ ਰਸ ਕੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਕੋ ਭੋਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੋ ਸਾਖੀ ਕੂਟਸਥ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਨਿਰਬਾਣ ਰਹਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਸੁਖ ਦੁਖ ਸੇ ਅਰ ਬਿਖ੍ਯ ਰਸੋਂ ਸੇ ਅਲਗ ਰਹਿ ਕਰ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪ ਰਸ ਮੇਂ ਮਗਨ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਬਹੁਤੇ ਰੰਗਾਂ (ਵਿਚ ਸੁਆਦ ਲੈਣ) ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਰਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਿਰ-ਚਾਹ (ਪੰਛੀ) ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਿਚ (ਲੀਨ) ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਰਬਾਣੁ = ਵਾਸਨਾ ਰਹਿਤ, ਨਿਰਚਾਹ।

Fareedkot Teekaਪਰੰਤੂ ਤਿਸੀ ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪ (ਰਸਿ) ਅਨੰਦ ਰੂਪੀ ਫਲ ਮੇਂ ਵਹੁ ਰਾਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਜਨਮ ਮੇਂ ਨਿਸਕਾਮ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਨੇ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਸਚਾ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਾ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ॥੨॥☬ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕੋ ਸਰਬ ਰੂਪਤਾ ਕਰ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਹਰੀ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ) ਸੱਚਾ ਟਿੱਕਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਸ (ਰੂਪ) ਫਲ (ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ) ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਸਿ = ਰਸ ਵਿਚ। ਨੀਸਾਣੁ = ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ, ਟਿੱਕਾ। ਕਰਮਿ = ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ॥੨॥
