Sant Singh KhalsaHe has counted all the days and the breaths, and placed them in people's destiny; they do not increase or decrease one little bit.
Manmohan SinghThe Lord has counted and put in the man, all the days and breathing. They neither increase not decrease even to the extent of a sesame.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਸਮੂਹ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਸ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਲੇ ਗਿਣ ਕੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਏ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਇਕ ਕੂੰਜਦ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਭੀ ਨ ਵਧਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਘਟਦੇ ਹਨ।
Fareedkot Teekaਪੁਰਸ਼ ਕੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਮੇਂ ਸ੍ਵਾਸ ਔਰ ਦਿਨ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ (ਙਣਿ ਘਾਲੇ) ਗਿਣ ਕੇ ਪਾਏ ਹੈਂ, ਤਿਲ ਸਾਦ੍ਰਸ ਬਢਤੇ ਘਟਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜੀਵ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਸੁਆਸ ਗਿਣ ਕੇ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ) ਇਕ ਤਿਲ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਭੀ ਵਧਾ ਘਟਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਙਣਿ = ਗਿਣ ਕੇ। ਘਾਲੇ = ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦਿਵਸ = ਦਿਨ। ਤਿਲੁ ਸਾਰ = ਤਿਲ ਜਿਤਨਾ ਭੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਮੋਹ ਦੀ ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਿਲੀ ਉਮਰ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧੀਕ) ਜੀਊਣਾ ਲੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥
