ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਿਵੈ = ਹਿਮ, ਬਰਫ਼ ਵਿਚ। ਬਾਧਾ = ਬਾਧਾਂ, ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਵਾਂ, ਬਣਾ ਲਵਾਂ। ਸਾਰੁ = ਲੋਹਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਦੁੱਖ ਬੜੇ ਸੌਖ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਾਰ ਸਕਾਂ, ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਤੋਰ ਸਕਾਂ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਾਣੀ ਕਰਿ = ਪਾਣੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗ, (ਭਾਵ,) ਬੜੇ ਸੌਖ ਨਾਲ। ਹਾਕ = ਆਵਾਜ਼, (ਭਾਵ, ਹੁਕਮ)। {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਹਾਕ' ਦਾ ਅਰਥ 'ਹਿੱਕ ਕੇ' ਕਰਨਾ ਗ਼ਲਤ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਜੋੜ 'ਹਾਕਿ' ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ 'ਕਰਿ' ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਨਥਿ = ਨੱਥ ਕੇ, ਆਖਿ = ਆਖ ਕੇ}।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਾਰਾਜੀ = ਤਰਾਜੂ। ਅੰਬਰੁ = ਆਕਾਸ਼। ਟੰਕੁ = ਚਾਰ ਮਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਤੋਲ।

Fareedkot Teeka(ਏਤਾ) ਜਿਤਨਾ ਪੂਰਬ ਬਲ ਕਥਨ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ ਐਸਾ ਬਲ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਔਰ ਪੂਰਬ ਕਰੇ ਹੂਏ ਕਾਮ ਆਪ ਭੀ ਕਰ ਲੇਵੋਂ ਔਰੋਂ ਸੇ ਭੀ ਆਖ ਕਰ ਕਰਵਾਇ ਲੇਵੋਂ। ਜੈਸੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਝੀਵਰ ਸੇ ਗੀਤਾ ਕੇ ਅਰਥ ਸਿਰ ਪਰ ਛਟੀ ਰਖ ਕਰ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਤਨਾ ਬਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਏ, ਕਿ ਜੋ ਚਾਹੇ ਕਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਕਰਾਵਾਂ (ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤੁੱਛ ਹੈ)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਖਸਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੇਡਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਆਪ ਹੈ ਉਤਨੀਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ਾਂ ਹਨ, ਜੇ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਸਾਈਂ ਹੋਰ ਭੀ ਬੇਅੰਤ (ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਦਾਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇ, (ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਤੁੱਛ ਹਨ)।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਜਾਈ = ਰਜ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜਿਸ ਉਪਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਸਚ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਖਸਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਏਹ ਕਿ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੂਆ ਫਿਰ ਜਾਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ॥੧॥☬ਜੇ ਕਹੇ ਜੋ ਸਿਧੀਓਂ ਕਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਤੋ ਕੁਛ ਭੂਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਤੀ, ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਕਿਆ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ? ਤਿਸ ਪਰ ਕਹਤੈ ਹੈਂ:
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਅਸਲ ਗੱਲ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਜਿਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਾਨਸਕ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥
