Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਵਹੁਟੀ ਸੁਰਮਾ, ਫੁੱਲ, ਪਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਲਾਬ ਦੇ ਅਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਜਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teeka(ਕਾਜਲ) ਕੱਜਲ ਸਮਾਧੀ ਲਗਾਵਨੀ, (ਫੂਲ) ਪ੍ਰਫੁਲਤ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਣੇ, (ਤੰਬੋਲ ਰਸੁ) ਪਾਨਾ ਕਾ ਬੀੜਾ, ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਕਰਨਾ। ਪਰੰਤੂ ਏਹ ਸਭ ਦਿਖਾਵੇ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਲੋਕ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਕਰ ਕੀਏ ਹੈਂ, ਇਨ ਕੋ ਲੇ ਕਰ ਜੋ ਧਨ ਨੇ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਾਜਲ = ਸੁਰਮਾ। ਧਨ = ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ ਜੇ) ਖਸਮ ਸੇਜ ਤੇ ਨਾਹ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਸਗੋਂ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਇਹ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ) ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ = ਮੰਦਾ ਕੰਮ। ਏਵੈ = ਐਵੇਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ॥੨॥
