(ਜਦ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਤੂੰ (ਸਾਡਾ) ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣਹਾਰ ਹੈਂ। ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ (ਪਰਵਾਰ) ਸਮੇਤ-ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਹਾਂ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪ੍ਰਭ = ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਠਾਕੁਰੁ = ਮਾਲਕ। ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕੁ = ਪਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਮੋਹਿ = ਮੈਂ। ਕਲਤ੍ਰ = ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਸਹਿਤ = ਸਮੇਤ। ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ। ਗੋਲਾ = ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ, ਸੇਵਕ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਠਾ ਦੇਵੇਂ, ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ, ਜੇ ਤੂੰ (ਮੈਨੂੰ ਘਾਹੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਮੈਥੋਂ) ਘਾਹ ਵਢਾਏਂ, ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਇਤਰਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਖਤਿ = ਤਖ਼ਤ ਉੱਤੇ। ਬੈਸਾਲਹਿ = ਤੂੰ (ਮੈਨੂੰ) ਬਿਠਾਏਂ। ਤਉ = ਤਦੋਂ, ਤਾਂ ਭੀ। ਘਾਸੁ = ਘਾਹ। ਬਢਾਵਹਿ = ਤੂੰ ਵਢਾਏਂ। ਕੇਤਕ ਬੋਲਾ = ਕਿਤਨੇ ਬੋਲ (ਬੋਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ)? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਇਤਰਾਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ।
