Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਕਰੇ, ਤੂੰ ਠਹਿਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ, ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ!
Fareedkot Teekaਹੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ! ਤੁਮ ਅਨੇਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਜਤਨ ਭੀ ਕਰੋ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਮੇਂ ਰਹਿਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਵੋਗੇ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ! (ਬੇ-ਸ਼ਕ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਤਨ ਤੁਸੀ ਕਰ ਵੇਖੋ, (ਇਥੇ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ) ਟਿਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦੇ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੀਤ = ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਞਤਨ = ਜਤਨ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਵੋਗੇ, ਜੇ ਸਦਾ ਹਰੀ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰੋਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ॥੧॥
