ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੀਨ = ਗਰੀਬ, ਅਨਾਥ। ਨਿਵਾਰਿ = ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਜਨ = ਸੇਵਕ। ਰਾਖੈ = ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕੇ ਤਾਰਨੇ ਕੋ ਜੋ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ (ਤਰਣ) ਜਹਾਜ ਵਤ ਹੈ ਔ ਸੁਖ ਦੇਨੇ ਕੋ ਨਿਧੀ, ਭਾਵ ਧਨ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ। ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਜਾਪ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਦੁਖ ਵਿਆਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਤਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ) ਲੰਘਾਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ (ਮਾਨੋ) ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ, (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਕੋਈ) ਦੁੱਖ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਰਣ = ਜਹਾਜ਼। ਨਿਧਿ = ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ। ਨ ਸਕੈ ਬਿਆਪਿ = ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਦਿ = ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ। ਅੰਤਿ = ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵਿਚ। ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ = ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਤਕ, ਸਦਾ ਹੀ। ਦਇਆਲ = ਦਇਆ ਦਾ ਘਰ। ਪੂਰਨ = ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਕਤਿ = (ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਝਗੜਿਆਂ ਝੰਬੇਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ) ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ। ਅੰਧਾਰੁ = ਹਨੇਰਾ ॥੩॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨ ਹੀ ਭਗਤਾਂ (ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ) ਦਾ ਸਰਮਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
