Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਦੋਂ) ਧਰਤੀ (ਮੀਂਹ ਖੁਣੋਂ) ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਕ-ਮਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਸੱਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਇਸ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਨੂੰ) ਗਹੁ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਲਮਲਿ = ਵਿਆਕੁਲ। ਮੇਦਨੀ = ਧਰਤੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਚੈ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ। ਕੰਨੁ ਦੇ = ਕੰਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ, ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ। ਧੀਰਕ = ਧੀਰਜ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਬੇਅੰਤ ਅਨਾਜ (-ਰੂਪ) ਧਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਦਾ) ਮੁੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਨੁ = ਅੰਨ, ਅਨਾਜ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੰਬਾਹਿ = ਅਪੜਾ ਕੇ, ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ। (ਨੋਟ: 'ਭੂਤ-ਕਾਲ' ਦਾ ਅਰਥ 'ਵਰਤਮਾਨ' ਵਿਚ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ)
