ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਲੇਖਾ ਨਿਬੜੈ; ਬਖਸੇ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥

Sant Singh KhalsaThe Gurmukh's account is settled with honor; the Lord blesses him with the treasure of His Praise.

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ-ਪੱਤਾ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਬਾਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਪਰਦਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਨ ਕੋ (ਸਿਫਤਿ) ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਬਖਸ਼ੇ ਹੈਂ, ਤਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੋਂ ਕਾ ਪਤਿ ਕੇ ਸਹਿਤ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਨਿਬੜ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਨਾਲ ਨਿੱਬੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਤਿ = ਇੱਜ਼ਤ।

Fareedkot Teeka(ਓਥੈ) ਪਰਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਹਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਪੜਤਾ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਤਤ੍ਵ ਵਾ ਜਤਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਤਾ ਔਰ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਫਰਿਆਦ ਕੀ ਕੂਕ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਲੇਖਾ ਹੋਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ, ਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੂਕ-ਪੁਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਓਥੈ = ਉਸ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਆਖ਼ਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਇਨ ਜੰਤੋਂ ਕੋ ਔਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਰੂਪ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ (ਸਿਰ) ਸਿਰੋਮਣੀ ਹੈ॥੬॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਲਾਭਦਾਇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੬॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਬਿਰਹੀ ਜੀਵ! ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਤਰਲੇ ਲੈ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਹਰੇਕ ਜੀਵ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਾਬੀਹਾ = ਹੇ ਪਪੀਹੇ! (ਨੋਟ: ਪਪੀਹਾ ਵਰਖਾ-ਬੂੰਦ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ; ਸੋ, ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਉਪਮਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਤਾਂਘ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ('ਨਾਮ' ਦੀ) ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ (ਸਾਰੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ) ਹਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਸਸੀ = ਵਰਖਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਵਣੁ = ਜੰਗਲ। ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ = ਘਾਹ। ਵਾਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ = ਸਾਰੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਉੱਠਦੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸੁਧਾਰਸ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਵਰ੍ਹਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਊਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਇਸ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਬਖਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਬਰਸਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਗੁਰੂ ਰੂਪ ਮੇਘ ਸਦੀਵ ਉਪਦੇਸ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਸੋ ਨਾਮ ਹਰੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖੋਂ ਕੋ ਦੇਤਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਇਹ ਦਾਤ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਸ ਜਗਿਆਸੂ ਕੀ ਬੁਧੀ ਰੂਪੀ (ਮੇਦਨੀ) ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਾ ਧਰਤੀ (ਕਲਮਲਿ) ਬਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਆਗੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਲਗਾਇ ਕਰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਤੀ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਦੋਂ) ਧਰਤੀ (ਮੀਂਹ ਖੁਣੋਂ) ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਕ-ਮਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਸੱਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ (ਇਸ ਅਰਜ਼ੋਈ ਨੂੰ) ਗਹੁ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਲਮਲਿ = ਵਿਆਕੁਲ। ਮੇਦਨੀ = ਧਰਤੀ।

ਸਚੈ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕੰਨੁ ਦੇ; ਧੀਰਕ ਦੇਵੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬੂਝਣਹਾਰ = ਸਮਝਣ-ਜੋਗੇ; ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਹਨ। ਬੂਝਨਿ = ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ।

Fareedkot Teekaਵਹੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮੇਂ ਰਤੇ ਹੂਏ ਸਦੀਵ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੋ ਪੀਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਅਰੁ ਤਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਹੰਤਾ, ਮਮਤਾ ਔ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਕੋ ਮਾਰ ਦੀਆ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਉਮੈ ਤੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਦਾ 'ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ' ਪੀਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ। ਪੀਵਹਿ = ਪੀਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
