Fareedkot Teekaਤੇਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਜੋ ਜੀਵਨਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ (ਬਲਨਾ) ਦਗਧ ਹੋਨਾ ਹੈ, ਵਾ ਜੋ ਬਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਐਸੇ ਸਰਪ ਕੀ (ਅਰਜਾਰੀ) ਆਰਬਲਾ ਹੋਤੀ ਹੈ; ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਜੈਸੇ ਵਹੁ ਜਹਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਲਤਾ ਰਹਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤੈਸੇ ਹੀ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਜਲਤਾ ਰਹਿਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਿਤਨੀ ਭੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਨੀ ਹੈ (ਉਹ ਇਉਂ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ) ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੱਪ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਉਮਰ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਮਰ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਲੰਮੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ)।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਲਨਾ = ਬਿਲਾਨਾ, ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਨਾ। ਅਰਜਾਰੀ = ਉਮਰ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਗਾਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਨੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਗੁਣ = ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ। ਤਿਨ ਹੀ = ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੀ {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਤਿਨਿ' ਦੀ 'ਿ' ਕ੍ਰਿਆ-ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਣ 'ਹੀ' ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉੱਡ ਗਈ ਹੈ} ਤਿਨਿ ਹੀ। ਜਾ ਕਉ = ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ। ਧਾਰੀ = ਕੀਤੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਿਤੀਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-) ਅਜੇਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੨॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧੰਨੁ = ਮੁਬਾਰਿਕ। ਤਿਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ = ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ॥੨॥੨॥
