ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਝਗੜੇ = ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗਿਆਨੁ = ਉੱਚੀ ਸਮਝ, ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ। ਧਿਆਨੁ = ਉੱਚੀ ਸੁਰਤ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਕਤੁ = ਰੱਤ, ਲਹੂ। ਨਿਪੰਨੇ = ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ।

Fareedkot Teekaਦੇਣੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਤੋ ਨਰਕ ਕੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਰ ਲੈਣੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਕੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ? ਦੇਖੋ ਏਹ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਜੋਰ ਧਿਙਾਣਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਨਿਆਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ) ਵੇਖੋ, ਇਹ ਅਚਰਜ ਧੱਕੇ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਰਕੇ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੁਰਗ ਵਿਚ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਰਕਿ = ਨਰਕ ਵਿਚ। ਸੁਰਗਿ = ਸੁਰਗ ਵਿਚ। ਧਿਙਾਣਾ = ਧੱਕੇ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤੋਇਅਹੁ = ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ। ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣੁ = ਸਾਰਾ ਜਗਤ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਾਣੀ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਈ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੀਵ ਦੇ ਪਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ-ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ), ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਬੇਅੰਤ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ) ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਹਨ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜੋ ਊਪਰ ਗਿਨੇ ਰਸੋਂ ਕੋ ਛੋਡੇ ਸੋ ਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ। ਯਾਂ ਤੇ ਛੂਟਨੇ ਕਠਨ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਿਆਗ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਤਾ, ਇਹ ਹਮ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕਹਾ ਹੈ॥☬ਇਸ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕੋ ਸੁਨ ਕਰ ਮਾਨ ਕੋ ਤਿਆਗ ਕਰ ਸਭ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਬਣੇ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਗਚੇ ਮੇਂ ਸੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਮਾਸ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਤਸਮਈ ਬਣੀ ਹੂਈ ਦਿਖਾਇ ਦਈ⁽¹⁾॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਸੋ, ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ (ਕਿ ਜੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਬਣਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ) ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਸਕੇ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਬਣੇ (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਾਸ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਭੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅੰਨ ਕਮਾਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੀ ਉਤਪੱਤੀ ਭੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ) ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ = ਤਿਆਗੀ। ਰਸ = ਚਸਕੇ। ਏਤੇ ਰਸ = ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਸਕੇ। ਛੋਡਿ = ਛੱਡ ਕੇ। ਵਿਚਾਰਾ = ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ॥੨॥
