Prof. Sahib Singhਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮਾਸ (ਭਾਵ, ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਵੀਰਜ) ਤੋਂ ਹੀ (ਜੀਵ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਦਾ) ਮੁੱਢ ਬੱਝਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਫਿਰ) ਮਾਸ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੇਟ) ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ;
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿੰਮਿਆ-ਨਿਰਮਿਆ, ਬਣਿਆ, ਮੁਢ ਬੱਝਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਦੋਂ (ਪੁਤਲੇ ਵਿਚ) ਜਾਨ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ (ਜੀਭ-ਰੂਪ) ਮਾਸ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਹੀ ਘਾੜਤ) ਹੱਡ ਚੰਮ ਸਰੀਰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮਾਸ (ਹੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ)।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੀਉ ਪਾਇ = ਜਿੰਦ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਭਾਵ, ਜਦੋਂ ਜਾਨ ਪਈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਫਿਰ) ਮਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ (ਬੱਚਾ-ਰੂਪ) ਮਾਸ ਜੰਮਦਾ ਹੈ; (ਸੋ, ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ) ਸਾਕ-ਸੰਬੰਧ ਮਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੋ ਬੁਝੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਬੂਝਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਸਭ ਕਰਤੂਤਿ ਰਾਸਿ ਸੂਤ ਆਵਤੀ ਹੈ, ਵਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ (ਰਾਸਿ) ਸਚ ਮੇਂ ਆਵਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਮਾਸ ਖਾਣ ਜਾਂ ਨਾਹ ਖਾਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਨਾ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ) ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਸਮਝੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵ (ਦਾ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਆਉਣਾ) ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੋ = ਕੋਈ (ਭਾਵ,) ਜੀਵ। ਆਵੈ ਰਾਸਿ = ਰਾਸ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਿਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਫਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਆਪਣੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਰਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਨਿਰੀਆਂ ਪੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਬੰਦਾ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜੋ ਆਪ ਕਹੇ ਹਮ ਛੂਟੇ ਹੈਂ, ਸੋ ਇਸ ਤਰਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੂਟਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕਹੇ ਹੂਏ ਬਚਨ ਕਾ ਬਿਨਾਸ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਮਣ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮਰਨ ਤਕ ਇਤਨਾ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਵਾਸਤਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆਂ ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ; ਤੇ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਇਸ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ) ਚਰਚਾ ਨਾਲ (ਨਿਰੀ) ਹਾਨੀ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਪਿ ਛੁਟੇ = ਆਪਣੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਿਆਂ। ਬਚਨਿ = ਬਚਨ ਨਾਲ, (ਇਸ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ) ਚਰਚਾ ਨਾਲ। ਬਿਣਾਸੁ = ਹਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
