Fareedkot Teekaਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਜਾਪ ਸੇ ਸਚ ਸਰੂਪ ਕੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਕਰ ਜੋ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਪ ਅਰ ਸਚੀ ਸਮਝ ਤੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਣੇ ਕਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤਿਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਹਉਮੈਂ ਕਰਤਿਆਂ ਜਨਮ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਅਡੋਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੁੜੀ, ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇ, 'ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਵਾਂ'-ਇਹ ਆਖ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਗਵਾ ਲਿਆ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਾਚੀ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ, ਟਿੱਕਵੀਂ, ਅਡੋਲ। ਨਾਮਿ = ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ। ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੇ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਰਤੇ। ਹਉਮੈ = ਹਉ ਹਉ, ਮੈਂ ਮੈਂ (ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਣਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਣਾਂ; ਇਹ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਾਲੇ ਡਰ ਤੇ ਛਲ ਨਾਹ ਮੁੱਕੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੀ ਲਗਨ) ਹੀ ਰਹੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਮਾਇਆ (ਦੀ ਦੰਦ-ਕਥਾ) ਹੀ ਰਹੀ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਚੀਨਿ = ਪਛਾਣ ਕੇ, ਸਮਝ ਕੇ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਮੁਖਿ = ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਅਧੀਨ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਨਾਮ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਚੌਰਾਸੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਉਸੇ ਚੌਰਾਸੀ ਵਿਚ ਮੁੜ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਰਹਰਿ = ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਜਤ = ਜਿਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਲੋਂ। ਤਤ = ਉਸੇ ਪਾਸੇ।

Fareedkot Teekaਤੇਰੇ ਸ੍ਵਰੂਪ ਕੋ ਦੇਖ ਕਰ ਕਿਸ ਕੇ ਪਾਸ ਕਹੋਂ: ਤੂੰ ਕੈਸਾ ਹੈਂ? ਸਰਬ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਾਚਕ ਹੈਂ ਔਰ ਤੂੰ ਸਰਬ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਨੂੰ) ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਣ ਜੋਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ)। ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵ (ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰ ਦੇ) ਮੰਗਤੇ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਕਹਉ = ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਾਂ? ਦੇਖਿ = ਵੇਖ ਕੇ। ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ। ਜਾਚਕੁ = ਮੰਗਤੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਖੁੰਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ (ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ) ਨਾਨਕ (ਤੇਰੇ) ਦਰ ਤੇ (ਆ ਡਿੱਗਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਉਤੇ) ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰ। (ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ, ਮੈਂ (ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ) ਸੀਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ ਰੱਖਾਂ ॥੪॥੩॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹੀਣੁ = ਸੱਖਣਾ, ਖ਼ਾਲੀ। ਦਰਿ = ਦਰ ਤੇ। ਦੇਖਹੁ = ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰੋ, ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰੋ। ਉਰਿ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਧਾਰਾ = ਧਾਰਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਟਿਕਾ ਰੱਖਾਂ ॥੪॥੩॥
