ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰੁ ਮਾਨੈ = ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਉਤੇ ਸਰਧਾ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨ ਤੇ = ਮਨ ਤੋਂ, ਦਿਲੋਂ, ਸੱਚੇ ਦਿਲੋਂ। ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰਾ = ਮਨ ਧੀਰਜ ਫੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨ ਡੋਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੧॥
