Fareedkot Teeka(ਧੂਰਤੁ) ਭਸਮ ਧਾਰੀ ਵਾ ਚਤਰ ਸੋਈ ਪੁਰਸ ਹੈ, ਜੋ (ਧੁਰ) ਆਦ ਰੂਪ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਕੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਮੇਂ ਲਾਗਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਅਸਲ) ਚਤੁਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧੂਰਤੁ = {धुर्त} ਚਤੁਰ। ਸੋਈ = ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਜਿ = ਜਿਹੜਾ। ਧੁਰ ਕਉ = ਸਭ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸੋਈ (ਧੁਰੰਧਰੁ) ਧੂਰੀ ਕੇ ਧਾਰਨੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਰ ਸੋਈ ਬਸਤ੍ਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਧਾਰਨੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ੍ਰੇਸਟ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਏਕ ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਮੇਂ (ਪਾਗੈ) ਖਚਤ ਹੋਵੇ ਹੈ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੁਖੀ ਹੈ ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧਨੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ-ਰਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧੁਰੰਧਰੁ = ਭਾਰ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਮੁਖੀ। ਬਸੁੰਧਰੁ = {वसु = ਧਨ} ਧਨ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਧਨੀ। ਪਾਗੈ = ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਠੱਗੀਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਸਲ) ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ, ਉਹ ਚਤੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਲਬੰਚ = ਠੱਗੀਆਂ। ਧੂਰਤੁ = ਚਤੁਰ,। ਮੂੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ = ਮੂਰਖ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਸਲ ਗ਼ਰਜ਼ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਘਾਟੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ ਰੁੱਝਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ॥੧॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੁਆਰਥੁ = ਆਪਣੀ (ਅਸਲ) ਗ਼ਰਜ਼। ਅਸਾਰਥ = ਘਾਟੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿਚ। ਰੂੜਾ = ਸੁੰਦਰ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚ) ਕਬੂਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨॥੬੭॥੯੦॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਨਿ = ਜਿਸ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਨੇ। ਪਰਵਾਨਾ = ਕਬੂਲ ॥੨॥੬੭॥੯੦॥
