Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੋਕ ਰਾਜ ਹੰਸ ਸਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਕਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੋ ਸਾਈਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਉਹ ਨਿਰੇ ਜਿੰਨ-ਭੂਤ ਹਨ।
Fareedkot Teekaਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਵਿਖੇ ਜਿਨ ਪੁਰਸ਼ੋਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਾ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਵਤ ਹੈਂ। ਔਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸਤਜੁਗ ਵਿਖੇ (ਪਰਮ ਹੰਸ) ਅਤੀ ਸੁਧ ਔਰ (ਬੀਚਾਰੀ) ਧਰਮ, ਅਧਰਮ ਕਾ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਕਰਨੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਥੇ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਕਲਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ (ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ) ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਸਦਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ। ਸਤਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਉਹੀ ਹਨ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ (ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਤਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਪਰਮ ਹੰਸ ਨਹੀਂ)।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਲਿ = ਕਲਜੁਗ। ਪ੍ਰੇਤ = ਭੂਤ-ਪ੍ਰੇਤ, ਉਹ ਰੂਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਈ। ਪਛਾਤਾ = ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾਈ। ਸਤਜੁਗਿ = ਸਤਜੁਗ ਵਿਚ। ਪਰਮ ਹੰਸ = ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਹੰਸ, ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲੇ, ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ। ਬੀਚਾਰੀ = ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲਗਨ ਬਣਾਈ, ਉਹ ਆਪ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਭੀ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲਈਆਂ ॥੨॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਰੇ = (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਗਲੇ ਕੁਲ = ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ। ਨਾਮਿ = ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ। ਲਿਵ = ਲਗਨ ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਦਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਮਹਲ ਵਿਖਾ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਘਰੁ = (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਘਰ। ਦਰੁ = (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ। ਮਹਲੁ = (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ) ਟਿਕਾਣਾ। ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ = ਆਤਮਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਲਾ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਮੰਨ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੬॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਰਿ = ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਸਮਝ ਕੇ। ਨਾਨਕ = ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਵਖਾਣੈ = (ਸਦਾ) ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੬॥
