Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਤੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਣ ਦਾ ਸਬਬ ਤਦੋਂ ਤਕ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਤਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦੀਆਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਦੌੜਾਂ ਭੱਜਾਂ ਟਿਕੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਡੀਗਨ = (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਡਿੱਗਣਾ। ਡੋਲਾ = (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ) ਡੋਲ ਜਾਣਾ, ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਫਸ ਜਾਣਾ। ਤਊ ਲਉ = ਉਤਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਤਕ ਹੀ। ਭਰਮਾ = ਦੌੜ-ਭੱਜਾਂ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਇਹ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਭੀ ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕ ਝਗੜਾਲੂ ਵੈਰੀ ਹਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪਿਆਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਥੱਕ ਗਏ ਹਨ (ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੁਖੀ ਕਰਨੋਂ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ)।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਓਇ = {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਓਹੁ' ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁ-ਵਚਨ'}। ਬਿਖਾਦੀ = ਝਗੜਾਲੂ। ਦੋਖੀਆ = ਵੈਰੀ। ਤੇ = ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ। ਗੁਰ ਤੇ = ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਹੂਟੇ = ਹੁੱਟ ਗਏ, ਥੱਕ ਗਏ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਚਲਿਆ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੇਰਾ ਤੇਰਾ = ਮੇਰ ਤੇਰ, ਵਿਤਕਰਾ। ਤਬ ਹੀ ਤੇ = ਤਦੋਂ ਹੀ। ਬੰਧਾ = ਮੋਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ, ਕੋਈ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਪਦਾ, ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੈੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ,ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੋ = ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਦੋਖੀਆ = ਵੈਰੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਖਸਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੧੧੯॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਖਸਮ = ਖਸਮ ਦਾ ॥੪॥੧੭॥੧੧੯॥
