Prof. Sahib Singh(ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਖੇ ਸਮਝਣ ਵਾਲੇ) ਖਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ (ਆਪਣਾ ਇਹ) ਧਰਮ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਮਲੇਛ ਕਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ (ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਗ੍ਰਹਣ ਕਰ ਚੁਕੇ ਹਨ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਾਖਿਆ = ਬੋਲੀ। ਮਲੇਛ ਭਾਖਿਆ = ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਪ ਮਲੇਛ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗਹੀ = ਗ੍ਰਹਣ ਕੀਤੀ।

Fareedkot Teekaਰਿਖੀਓਂ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਅਸਟ ਵਿਆਕਰਨ (ਸਾਜੇ) ਰਚੇ ਹੂਏ ਹੈਂ ਔਰ ਵਿਆਸ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਰਚੇ ਹੂਏ ਹੈਂ, ਯਦਪਿ ਇਨ ਕੋ ਬੀ (ਸੋਧਹਿ) ਵੀਚਾਰੇ ਵਾ ਅਸਟ ਅਰੁਦ ਸਦਸਾਂਦਾ ਅਧਹਾਰੁ ਹੈ, ਅਠਾਰਾਂ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਜੋ (ਸਾਜ) ਰਚੇ ਹੂਏ ਹੈਂ ਬਨਾਇਕੇ, ਭਾਵ ਭਲੀ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਸੋਧਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਔਰ ਵੇਦੋਂ ਕਾ ਭੀ ਬਾਰੰਬਾਰ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਤੇ, ਭਾਵ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਲੋਕ) ਅਸ਼ਟਾਧਿਆਈ ਆਦਿਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਰਚ ਕੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਭਿਆਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਬੱਸ! ਇਤਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਮੰਨੀ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ)।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਸਟ = ਅੱਠ। ਅਸਟ ਸਾਜ = ਅਸ਼ਟਾਧਿਆਈ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਆਕਰਨਿਕ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ। ਸਾਜਿ = ਰਚ ਕੇ। ਸੋਧਹਿ = ਵਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਜਪੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਤੀ। ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ! ਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਨਾਮ ਜਪ ਵਾ ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਸੰਤ ਭੀ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥੪॥੧॥੬॥੮॥☬ਏਕ ਕਾਲ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਜਗਨ ਨਾਥ ਮੇਂ ਗਏ ਥੇ, ਤਬ ਆਰਤੀ ਮੇਂ ਨਾ ਉਠੇ। ਪੰਡਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, 'ਤੁਮ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਠੇ'। ਤਬ ਏਹ ਸਬਦ ਉਚਾਰਾ:☬ਇਸ ਸਬਦ ਕਾ ਅਰਥ ਉਥਾਨਿਕਾ ਸਹਿਤ ਆਰਤੀ ਸੋਹਿਲੇ ਮੇਂ ਪੂਰਬ ਕਥਨ ਕੀਆ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ।
Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਧਰਮ-ਕਰਮ ਹੈ) ॥੪॥੧॥੬॥੮॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁਕਤਿ = ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ॥੪॥੧॥੬॥੮॥
* ਨੋਟ: ਅਖ਼ੀਰਲੇ ਅੰਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਹੁ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖੋ। ਅੰਕ ੪ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੇ ੪ ਬੰਦ ਹਨ। ਅਗਲਾ ਅੰਕ ੧ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ "ਘਰੁ ੩" ਦਾ ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੈ। "ਘਰ ੨" ਦੇ ੫ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹਨ। 'ਘਰੁ ੩' ਦਾ ੧ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੈ। ਅੰਕ ੬ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ 'ਘਰੁ ੨' ਅਤੇ 'ਘਰੁ ੩' ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੋੜ ੬ ਹੈ। ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਰਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ੮ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਆ ਚੁਕੇ ਹਨ।
