ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ਭਾਗਿ = ਪੂਰੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ। ਬਖਸ = ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼, ਮਿਹਰ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਓਪਾਵਾ ਸਿਰ = ਸਾਰੇ ਉਪਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ, ਸਭ ਉਪਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ) ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਤੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕ (ਭਾਵ, ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ) ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾਮ-ਰਸ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਹਰ ਥਾਂ) ਆਦਰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
