Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਅਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਵੇਖੋ ਪਉੜੀ ੩), ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਜੁੜਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਖਸਿਓਨੁ = ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਾਇਓਨੁ = ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੇ। ਨੀਸਾਣ = ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ, (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਣ ਲਈ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ।
