Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦਿਆਂ ਰਸਾਂ ਨੇ ਫਰੇਫਤਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, (ਉਹ ਸਦਾ) ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ (ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸੁਆਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਨਰਕ ਸੁਰਗ (ਭੋਗਣ ਲਈ ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ) ਜਨਮ ਲੈਣੇ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੯॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਾਮਿ ਬਿਸਾਰਿਐ = ਜੇ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ) ਨਾਮ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਏ। ਅਵਤਾਰ = ਜਨਮ ॥੯॥
