Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੜਚੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ) ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਖੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਅਸਲ) ਪਾਰਖੂ ਸਮਝੋ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ-ਰੂਪ ਰੋਗ ਲੱਭਣ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ) ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣਾ (ਆਤਮਕ) ਰੋਗ ਤੇ ਰੋਗ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸਮਝ ਲਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਹਕੀਮ ਜਾਣ ਲਵੋ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ = ਸਿਆਣਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ 'ਸੁਜਾਣ ਵੈਦ') (ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ) ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ (ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਝੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਬੈਠਦਾ, ਉਹ (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ) ਮੁਸਾਫ਼ਿਰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਾਟ = ਰਾਹ ਵਿਚ। ਮਾਮਲਾ = ਝੰਬੇਲਾ, ਝੇੜਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਆਪਣੇ) ਅਸਲੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਨਾਲ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਪਾ ਕੇ, ਜੋ ਭੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਮਾ ਸਤ-ਸੰਗੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ (ਮਿਲ ਕੇ) ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੂਲੁ = ਅਸਲਾ। ਹਾਣੁ = ਉਮਰ, ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ। ਹਾਣਿ = ਹਾਣੀ, ਹਮ-ਉਮਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਵਾਲੇ, ਸਤ-ਸੰਗੀ

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਤੁਰਦਾ, ਸੱਚ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ (ਐਸਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਭੀ) ਪਰਮਾਣੀਕ ਵਿਚੋਲਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲਬਿ = ਲੱਬ ਨਾਲ, ਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ। ਵਿਸਟੁ = ਵਿਚੋਲਾ। ਪਰਵਾਣੁ = ਮੰਨਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਮੰਨਿਆ।

Fareedkot Teekaਅਗੇ ਵਹੁ ਅਕਾਸ ਅਗੰਮ ਹੈ ਜਾਣੋ ਉਲਟ ਕੇ (ਵਾਹੇਦੜੁ) ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਨੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰ ਪੜੇਗਾ। ਭਾਵ ਜੋਗੀ ਮੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਕਤੀ ਅਰੁ ਲਖਣੁ ਨਹੀਂ ਥੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਚਿਤਵਿਆ ਥਾ ਉਲਟਾ ਉਸੀ ਕਾ ਹੀ ਬੁਰਾ ਹੂਆ ਹੈ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਤਾਂ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ ਹੈ, ਸੋ, (ਯਕੀਨ) ਜਾਣੋ ਕਿ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੀ (ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਗੰਮੁ = ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਨਾਹ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਵਾਹੇਦੜੁ = ਤੀਰ ਵਾਹਣ ਵਾਲਾ ॥੨॥
