Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਕਿੜ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਲੋਕ ਤੇ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਹੀ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਣਤ = ਕਿੜ, ਵੈਰ।

Fareedkot Teekaਪਦਾਰਥੋਂ ਕੇ ਲੋਭ ਸੇ (ਝਹੀਆ) ਕਚੀਚੀਆਂ ਲੇਤਾ ਥਾ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਦਾਂਤ ਪੀਸਤਾ ਥਾ ਔਰ ਵਾਰੰਵਾਰ ਮੁਖ ਸੇ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਝਗ ਨਿਕਾਲਤਾ ਥਾ। (ਝਖਦਾ ਝਖਦਾ) ਖਪਦਾ ਖਪਦਾ ਝੜ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਨਿਤਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਘਟਤਾ ਗ੍ਯਾ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ) ਸਦਾ ਕਚੀਚੀਆਂ ਵੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਦੰਦ ਪੀਂਹਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ) ਖਪਦਾ ਖਪਦਾ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ)।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਝਹੀਆ ਪਾਏ = ਕਚੀਚੀਆਂ ਵੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਝਗੂ ਸੁਟੇ = ਹਲਕੇ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਥੁੱਕਾਂ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਦੌਲਤ ਤੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਲਈ, ਉਹ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਹੀ ਯਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਭੀ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teeka(ਮਾਇਆ) ਹਸਤੀ ਘੋੜੇ ਆਦਿਕ ਪਸੂ ਔਰ (ਧਨੁ) ਰੋਕੜੀ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕਰਨੇ ਕੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਤਾ ਥਾ, ਪਹਿਲਾ ਧਨ ਭੀ ਵਢੀਓਂ ਮੇਂ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਦੋਖੀ) ਸਦਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਲਈ ਵਿਓਂਤਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਗਲਾ (ਕਮਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਭੀ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਉਪਾਵ = ਵਿਓਂਤਾਂ। ਕਾਰਣਿ = ਵਾਸਤੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਝੋਰਾ ਤੇ ਸਾੜਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਖੱਟਣਾ ਕੀਹ ਤੇ ਖਾਣਾ ਕੀਹ? (ਭਾਵ, ਉਹ ਨਾ ਕੁਝ ਖੱਟ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਖੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਲੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ)।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਹਸਾ = ਤੌਖ਼ਲਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ (ਦਾ ਭਾਰ) ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਬਦਖੋਈ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਧੁਖ ਉਠਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਏਥੇ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੋਈ ਪਨਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਮੇਂ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਰੂਪੀ ਅੰਬ ਕਾ ਰਸ ਪੜਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੀ ਅਤੀ ਰੁਚਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਮਰਵਾਹੇ ਕੋ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਮੇਂ ਢੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਤੀ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਆਸਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ। ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਂ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਪਰ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਬ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਜੋ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਬੋਲੇ),
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਗੈ ਪਿਛੈ = ਪਰਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਚ। ਮੁਹਿ = ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ। ਅੰਬੁ = (ਭਾਵ) ਮਿਠਾਸ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਖੇਹੂ ਸੇਤੀ = ਸੁਆਹ ਨਾਲ।

Sant Singh KhalsaBut if he should come again to the Sanctuary of the Guru, then even his past sins shall be forgiven.

Fareedkot Teekaਜੇ ਕਰ ਫਿਰ ਵਹੁ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਮੇਂ ਆਵੈ, ਤੋ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਅਵਗੁਣੋਂ ਸੇ ਬਖਸ਼ ਲੀਆ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਫਿਰ ਭੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਾਪੀ ਹੁੰਦਿਆਂ ਭੀ) ਜੇ ਉਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਚਰਨੀਂ ਢਹਿ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਅਉਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ, ਨੌਕਰ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਪ੍ਰਾਧ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜਿਨ ਜਨੋਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਤ੍ਰ ਦਿਨ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ ਧਿਅਇਆ ਔਰ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ, ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਭਾਰੀ ਪਾਪ ਔਰ ਸਮਾਨ ਪਾਪ ਸਭ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਹਰ ਰੋਜ਼ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥
