Fareedkot Teekaਮੂਰਖ ਓਹ ਹੈ, ਜੋ (ਮੁਗਧੁ) ਅਸਮਝ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਅਗ੍ਯਾਨੀ ਦੇਹ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਔ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਮਰਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਜੋ ਉਨ ਕਾ ਕਰਣਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵ ਯਦਪਿ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਭੀ ਪੜਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਰ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਨ ਸਮਝੇ, ਵਹੁ ਮੂਰਖੁ ਹੀ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣਾ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਠੱਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤੇ ਮਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਕਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਏਤੁ ਕਮਾਣੈ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਤੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਨਾਲ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ ਡਿੱਗਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਚਾਉ ਦਾ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਉੱਦਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਾ = ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਕਿਹੁ ਸੰਜਮ ਕਰਣਾ = ਬਚਾਉ ਦਾ ਕੇਹੜਾ ਉੱਦਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਖੂਹਿ = ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚ। ਸੰਜਮੁ = ਬਚਾਉ ਦਾ ਉੱਦਮ। ਕਿਹੁ = ਕਿਛੁ, ਕੋਈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਜੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਊ ਤੌ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬਿਕਾਰੋਂ ਸੇ ਹਟ ਜਾਏਗਾ। ਜੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕੋ ਨਾ ਮੰਨੇ ਤੋ ਉਸਤੇ ਅਲਪ ਹੀ ਰਹਿਨਾ ਹੱਛਾ ਹੈ। ਸਭ ਕਾ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਏਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਅਪਨਾ ਹਿਤਕਾਰੀ ਮੰਦ ਕਰਮੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਵਿਰਤਨੇ ਲਗੇ ਤਬ ਉਸ ਕੋ ਸੁਭ ਮਤੀ ਦੇ ਕਰ ਹਟਾਈਏ। ਜੇਕਰ ਵਹੁ ਹਟ ਜਾਵੇ ਤੌ ਭਲਾ ਜੇ ਨਾ ਹਟੇ ਤੋ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਪੀਛਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ, ਉਸ ਕਾ ਸੰਗ ਛੋਡ ਦੇਵੇ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, (ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਉਹ ਆਪ ਬਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਨਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਡੁੱਬਦਾ ਸਾਥੀ ਭੀ ਬਚ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
