ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਗੰਨਾਥ = ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! ਜਗਦੀਸਰ = ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਈਸ਼ਰ! ਕਰਤੇ = ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਅਪਰੰਪਰ = ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ! ਪੁਰਖੁ = ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ। ਅਤੋਲੁ = ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਨਾਹ ਲੱਗ ਸਕੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖੋ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ) ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਕਿਸੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਊਤਮੁ = ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਬਨਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਅਮੋਲੁ = ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ (ਮਾਇਕ) ਕੀਮਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਹ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ-ਰੂਪ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਿਰਦੈ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਰੋਲੁ = ਸ਼ੱਕ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਵੱਡੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ (ਤੇ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ)।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਿਲੈ = ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪੂਰਾ ਬੋਲੁ = ਪੂਰਨ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼।

Fareedkot Teekaਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ ਜਨੋ! ਸਭੀ ਮਨ, ਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ ਨਰ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਕਾ ਧ੍ਯਾਵਣਾ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਮ ਝਗੜੂ ਕਾ ਅਜਾਮਲ ਵਤ (ਝਗੋਲੁ) ਨਰਕ ਕਾ ਗੋਤਾ ਵਾ ਝਗੜਾ ਚੁਕ ਜਾਤਾ ਹੈ॥੧੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਸੋ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਜਮ ਦਾ ਰਗੜਾ-ਝਗੜਾ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੨॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਭਿ = ਸਾਰੇ। ਜਿਤੁ = ਜਿਸ (ਸਿਮਰਨ) ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਝਗੜੁ ਝਗੋਲੁ = ਝਗੜਾ ਰਗੜਾ ॥੧੨॥
