ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤਿਨ ਮਿਲੇ; ਜਿਨ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਧੁਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥

har suaamee har prabh tin mile; jin likhiaa dhur har preet |

Sant Singh KhalsaThey alone meet the Lord, the Lord God, their Lord and Master, whose love for the Lord is pre-ordained.
Manmohan SinghThey alone meet with their Lord God yea, the Lord God, for whom the Lord's love is pre-writ.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਰੀ ਸਾਂਈਂ, ਹਰੀ ਸਾਈਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮੁੱਢ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ (ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ) ਧੁਰੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਾ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧੁਰਿ = ਧੁਰ ਤੋਂ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ (ਅਸਲ ਵਿਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ) ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਚੀਤਿ = ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿਚ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ) ਮਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈ, (ਉਹ ਮਿੱਤਰ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ (ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ) ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਲੋੜਿ ਲਹੁ = ਲੱਭ ਲਵੋ। ਭਾਗਿ = ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ। ਵਡਭਾਗਿ = ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਾਲ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ (ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ) ਹਰੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹ) ਘੜੀ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ (ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਭਗਤੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ = ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੀ। ਸੁਹਾਵੀ = ਸੁਖਾਵੀਂ, ਸੁਲੱਖਣੀ, ਸੋਹਣੀ। ਜਿਤੁ = ਜਿਸ (ਘੜੀ) ਵਿਚ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ। ਭਾਣੀ = ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਤੇ ਦੱਸੋ ਕਿ) ਉਹ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਾਇਐ = ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉ = ਕਿਵੇਂ? ਸੁਘੜੁ = ਸੋਹਣੀ ਘਾੜਤ ਵਾਲਾ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੇ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਾਹਿਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਉੱਤ੍ਰ: ਜਬ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਕੇ ਵਾਕਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਨਾਮੀ ਹਰੀ ਮੇਂ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਰਹੇ ਤਬ ਹਰੀ ਅਪਨੇ ਸਰਗੁਣ ਰੂਪ ਕੋ ਭੀ ਦੇਖਾਇ ਦੇਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਰੁ ਹਰੀ ਅਪਨੇ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਰੂਪ ਮੇਂ ਭੀ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਲੇਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ (ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ) ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਰਸਨ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Sant Singh KhalsaNanak is a sacrifice unto those who meditate on the Lord of Nirvaanaa. ||10||

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਤੇ = ਰੰਗੇ ਹੋਏ। ਲੋਇਣਾ = ਅੱਖਾਂ। ਗਿਆਨ = ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ। ਅੰਜਨੁ = ਸੁਰਮਾ। ਦੇਇ = ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੰਤਰਿ = ਅੰਦਰ। ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ = ਮਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਤਨ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ; ਮਨੋਂ ਤਨੋਂ। ਨਾਮਿ = ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਕਈ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਰੀਦ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੇ (ਜੀਵਨ-ਖੇਡ ਵਿਚ) ਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ (ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ (ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ) ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਇਕਿ = ਕਈ ਜੀਵ। ਮਨਮੁਖ = (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਦੇ ਮੁਰੀਦ। ਕਰਿ = ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਹਾਰਾਇਅਨੁ = ਉਸ ਨੇ (ਜੀਵਨ-ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ) ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਮੇਲਿ = ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਊਤਮੁ = (ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ) ਉੱਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਗੁਰਬਚਨਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਸਭਾਗੈ = ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ (ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਨੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ = (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ) ਭਟਕਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਭੂਲੇ = ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨਮੁਖ = ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੈ = ਮੈਨੂੰ। ਹਉ = ਮੈਂ। ਜੀਵਾ = ਜੀਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਸਦੁ = (ਉਸ ਦੀ) ਆਵਾਜ਼, ਸਿਫ਼ਤ = ਸਾਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ। ਸੁਣੇ = ਸੁਣਿ, ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਗੰਨਾਥ = ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਥ! ਜਗਦੀਸਰ = ਹੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਈਸ਼ਰ! ਕਰਤੇ = ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ! ਅਪਰੰਪਰ = ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ! ਪੁਰਖੁ = ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ। ਅਤੋਲੁ = ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਹਸਤੀ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਨਾਹ ਲੱਗ ਸਕੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਊਤਮੁ = ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਬਨਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਅਮੋਲੁ = ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ (ਮਾਇਕ) ਕੀਮਤ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਹ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਿਰਦੈ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਰੋਲੁ = ਸ਼ੱਕ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਹਰੀ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਤੋ ਹਰੀ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੈਂ। ਫਿਰ ਵਹੁ ਬਾਣ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸੰਧਾਨ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ ਉਸੀ ਕੋ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਮਾਰਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਉਸੀ ਕਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਹੋਤਾ ਭ੍ਯਾ ਹੈ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਬਚ ਨਿਕਲਦੇ ਹਨ; ਜਿਸ (ਮੂਰਖ) ਨੇ (ਤੀਰ) ਚਲਾਇਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਰਤ ਕੇ ਮੌਤ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਸੰਤ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਸਹੇੜ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੧॥
