Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਵੀਰ!) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ-ਖੇਡ ਖੇਡਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਰਚਨਾ ਰਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਪੇ = ਆਪ ਹੀ। ਖੇਲੈ = ਜਗਤ-ਖੇਡ ਖੇਡਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਚਨੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ = ਰਚਨਾ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਇਥੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ (ਕਾਮਾਦਿਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ-ਖੇਡ) ਖੇਡਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਹ ਬਾਜੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਦਰ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੯॥ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ। ਜਿਣਿ = ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੯॥
* ਨੋਟ: ਸਿਰਲੇਖ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਬਸੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਡੋਲ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਮਿਲਵੇਂ ਰਾਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਗਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਹਿਦਾਇਤ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਿਰਲੇਖ ਗਹੁ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਣਾ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਿਰਲੇਖ ਹੈ ਬਾਣੀ 'ਓਅੰਕਾਰੁ' ਦਾ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇਥੇ 'ਬਸੰਤ' ਅਤੇ 'ਹਿੰਡੋਲ' ਦੋ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹਨ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਉਥੇ 'ਰਾਮਕਲੀ' ਅਤੇ 'ਦਖਣੀ' ਦੋਵੇਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹਨ। ਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 'ਓਅੰਕਾਰੁ' ਹੈ।
