Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਵੇਖ ਮਾਇਆਧਾਰੀ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿਮੀਦਾਰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜੈਸੇ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਧਨ ਕੋ ਦੇਖ ਕਰ (ਗਰਬੈ) ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ ਔਰ ਜੈਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਕਾ ਮਾਲਕੁ ਭਾਵ ਜਿਮੀਂਦਾਰ ਜਮੀਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਧਨੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਧਨ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ) ਧਨੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਜ਼ਿਮੀਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿਮੀਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ) ਜ਼ਿਮੀਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ (ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿਮੀਂ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ) ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦਰਬੁ = {द्रव्य} ਧਨ। ਦਰਬਵੰਤੁ = ਧਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਧਨੀ। ਦੇਖਿ = ਵੇਖ ਕੇ। ਗਰਬੈ = ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭੂਮਵੰਤੁ = ਜ਼ਿਮੀਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ। ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ = ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜਿਵਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿੱਜ ਦੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵਨੂੰ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ।
Fareedkot Teekaਜੈਸੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਾਨਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਰਬ ਰਾਜ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੋਂ ਕੋ ਤਿਸ ਸ੍ਵਾਮੀ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ਹੈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਰਾਜਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੇਸ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ (ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਭੀ ਹੈ)। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ (ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ) ॥੧॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਾਜੁ = ਹਕੂਮਤ। ਜਾਨੈ = ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ। ਟੇਕ = ਆਸਰਾ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਸਲੀ ਓਟ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ) ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਾਈ ਰੱਖੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ (ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਤੇ) ਆਪਣਾ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਰਦਾ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕੋਊ = ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਓਟ = ਆਸਰਾ। ਸਮਾਰੈ = ਸੰਭਾਲੇ, ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਾਈ ਰੱਖੇ।

Fareedkot Teekaਜੈਸਾ ਉਨ ਕਾ (ਬਿਤੁ) ਬਲ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਹੋ ਕਰ ਉਸ ਕੀ ਰਖ੍ਯਾ ਮੇਂ (ਵਰਤੈ) ਪ੍ਰਵਿਰਤ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਰਖ੍ਯਾ ਮੇਂ ਵਹੁ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਅਪਨਾ ਬਲ ਹਾਰਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਸਰਣ ਆਏ ਕੀ ਰਖ੍ਯਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਕਰੇਗਾ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਕਿਉਂਕਿ) ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ (ਵਿਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ, ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਿੱਗਦਾ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਤੁ = ਵਿਤ, ਪਾਂਇਆਂ। ਵਰਤੈ = ਜਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਰ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਲੁ = ਤਾਕਤ, ਹੌਸਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇਹੜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ (ਧਨ ਭੁਇਂ ਰਾਜ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੇ) ਆਸਰੇ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇਹੜੇ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ,
ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਨ = ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ (ਆਸਰੇ)। ਤਿਆਗਿ = ਛੱਡ ਕੇ। ਇਕ ਆਸਰ = ਇੱਕ ਆਸਰੇ ਵਾਲੇ। ਕਰਿ = ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਆਖ ਕੇ।
